How to Get Here

The retreat property is located at 1707 Taonui Road, 30 minutes outside of Palmerston North.
If you are flying in, you will need to book your flight into the local Palmerston North airport (PMR). We recommend using Google Flights to find the cheapest airfares.
Whether you are flying, or arriving by bus, we are happy to come and pick you up in Palmerston North between 8am and 3pm on Friday, 1st February. Please contact us directly to arrange for pick up.
If you are arriving by car, please plan to arrive at the property before 3:30pm on Friday, 1st February. Google Maps will get you here just fine, but we will also send detailed directions after receiving your registration. Note that it is a 7-hour drive from Auckland and about 2 hours from Wellington.
What to Bring
Its going to be summer! That said, New Zealand has island weather, which means it can be warm and sunny one second, and a cool breeze can whip up in another second. So! Bring layers. Make sure you have some long pants, long shirts. A light/medium jacket. And some shorts, and short sleeves. Yoga clothes... whatever you feel comfortable in! Stretchy, or loose and light. Please bring some sneakers or hiking shoes for when we go into 'bush' (into the forrest). Bare-feet or sandals are fine around the homestead. No outdoor shoes are allowed in the Yoga Barn, so please bring slippers or indoor sandals if you like your feet protected.
Bring your bathing suit as we are going to have the option to swim in several rivers!
Sun screen is a MUST. NZ has very thin ozone and burn times are much faster than in most other parts of the world. Also, bring a sun hat!
All your bedding, towels, soap, shampoo & conditioner, and of course food, will be supplied.
If you are traveling to New Zealand from overseas, DO NOT bring any food items or plant material into the country. You will be stopped at NZ customs and fined on the spot! Not worth it. If you need to purchase special food items, we can make a trip to a local health food store or supermarket.
Be sure to bring supplies of any medicine, supplements and personal care items that you want to make sure you have!
Bring your yoga mat - we will have a few spare if you forget.
Advice on Touring New Zealand
If you want tips for what to do in New Zealand, we are happy to give you some pointers based on which direction you're coming from before you arrive at the retreat, or where you're going to afterwards. For example, if you're driving down from Auckland, you should not miss some of NZ's most famous spots, including Taupo (the giant crater lake), Rotorua (home of the bubbling mud pools), and more! Send us a message asking for travel tips and we will be happy to oblige.
